When we purchased our new home in the Hill Country, Tessera on Lake Travis. We wanted to enjoy the surroundings including a beautiful vista grand view in our back yard. We started by creating our own design concepts to include hardscape patio, initially wood structure, meandering pathways, widen the front driveway with stone pavers. We needed help. The project detail and lack of experience soon became a challenge beyond our scope. Fortunately, we found a professional that worked with us, rebuilt our software design with functional engineering drawings that covered the entire scope of our project. Joe Rullan, owner of Well Grounded Landscapes introduced us to the idea of using a stone media instead of the wood for many advantages – comfort, long-lasting material and beauty. The raised stone patio with kitchen, spa off-the-ground embedded in the multi-level patio with cathedral steps leading into the sculptured lawn and gardens. This feature added so much beauty and allowed easy access year-round. We still enjoy every day working in our gardens, various trees, raised garden beds. Well Grounded Landscapes worked so hard to ensure we were satisfied and safe for seniors, including widening the entrance vestibule with gradual stone slope to the doorway. The project was completed with an approved time schedule and budget. Each phase of the project was supported by drawings, cost estimates and walk-through sign-off to ensure satisfied completion. Project grade – A1.

Well Grounded has completely transformed our yard and we are extremely pleased with it.  They were very good about listening to our ideas and were also good at adding their ideas and suggesting plants which resulted in an overall wonderful design.  They love their work and it shows in the details.  Their prices are fair and they are completely professional.  They are knowledgeable about plants for our area, talented in garden design and our installation was top-notch. They were also good about following up to make sure our plants were doing well and that we were happy with the results.  We are in the process of doing additional landscaping and Well Grounded will be doing it.
